New and Experimental Music, Since 2005

Opensound is a Greater Boston concert series featuring improvisers and interpreters of avant-garde, experimental, acoustic, and electro- acoustic music. We program concerts featuring local and touring musicians, sound artists, and the un-categorize-able. Hailing from disparate backgrounds, styles, and genres, our musicians, dancers, video and performance artists, form a vibrant community that presents unique events in Somerville, Massachusetts.

Stones/Water/Time/Breath, by Dean Rosenthal

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS!

Join us for a performance of Dean Rosenthal's environmental piece Stones/Water/Time/Breath. The only equipment you will need is a bag of pebbles. The score is a simple set of instructions accessible to all levels of musicianship. Score here:

http:// www.stonespiece.com/

The performance will run from 7:30 until 8:10. Players may perform the piece once, for any span of time, during the above timeframe.

WHERE:

We will be on the north side of the pond at the tip of the peninsula. We encourage people to bring food and share.

Parking is nearby on Moraine St and Lochstead Ave.

LET ME KNOW:

Please email Lou Bunk if you are planning to play so we can get a sense of how many!

Also on the bill: the sunset, the breeze, the sweat smell of summer in the park, by the pond.

Admission $10

Special thanks to
Matt Schaffer
